Steubenville Police Happy feet: A caller reported seeing a man “dancing in the roadway” in the 1000 block of Labelle Avenue, Sunday. Police located him, still dancing, and gave him a ride home. Behavioral issues: A city resident said her juvenile son is unruly and leaves his room when he’s grounded “and, overall, rarely listens to her,” Sunday. Steubenville Police Helping herself: A Maxwell Avenue resident said he woke up to discover a woman “standing next to his bed,” Saturday. He said he told her to leave and she did, but within minutes he began getting notifications that purchases were being made at a nearby business with his Venmo account and he also discovered cash missing from his wallet. Steubenville Police Freeloading: Employees asked police to remove a man from the premises after his card was declined and he refused to leave, Wednesday. They said they’d given the man until noon to clear out and prior to the cutoff he “would come to the front desk and give the receptionist a hard time before going back to his room.” Once the deadline passed they had no contact with him, reporting he remained in the room, “occupying it for free.” When police told him he needed to vacate the premises they said he packed his things and left.
