To the editor:

Wintersville Good Neighbors would like to take this opportunity to thank several groups who helped with our Christmas project this year.

The Wintersville Methodist Youth Group, Cross Creek Elementary and the Jefferson County Christian School all helped make this year a success.

The youth group, under the direction of Tiffany Manley, helped set up the project, sorted toys and wrapped them. Cross Creek Elementary fourth-grade Student Council brought the canned goods the whole school had collected, and helped check and sort them. They also donated money they made with their penny wars.

The Christian school did their Make a Difference Day, and put together boxes, filled stockings and sorted many, many items. Without their help, we would not have been able to help 65 families and more than 150 children have a nice Christmas. We so appreciate these wonderful students who did this community service.
