To the editor:

With so much emphasis placed on the mistakes of police officers nowadays, I feel the need to applaud the good that they do as well.

Last week, I asked my wife to pick me up at a local car garage where my vehicle was being serviced. Unfortunately, she got lost and was seen on Sunset Boulevard in a confused state. The police were notified, and the officer who arrived at the scene, Sean Extrovich, not only made several attempts to contact me, but he picked me up at the garage so I could meet my wife.

In my opinion, picking me up went above and beyond the call of duty, and I’d like to compliment Officer Extrovich for his outstanding service.
