A full schedule of events planned in Weirton this summer
WEIRTON — There will be a packed summer of activities at the Weirton Event Center, with the City of Weirton and Top of West Virginia Convention and Visitors Bureau announcing the 2026 Summer Event Schedule.
Running from late May into September, this year’s lineup features a mix of live music, community celebrations, and family-friendly experiences designed to bring together residents and visitors through the summer months.
The City of Weirton will be bringing back its Friday Night Concert Series, offering free, live entertainment. The CVB will also offer its Second Saturday events, combining live music, a farmers’ and artisan market, food vendors, and activities for all.
A special highlight of the season comes during Independence Day weekend. On July 3, the Top of WV CVB will host the annual performance by the Wheeling Symphony Orchestra, with fireworks provided by the City of Weirton. On July 4, the city will take the lead with a full day of festivities, including a parade, family activities, live music, and fireworks.
The 2026 schedule features a diverse lineup of acts, including regional favorites, tribute bands, and themed performances:
– May 22: The Fantasy’s
– May 29: The Jersey Beach Boys
– June 5: Twice as Nice / The Rumors Band
– June 13: 7 South / Beatlemania (Second Saturday)
– June 19: Fleetwood 2 the Max
– June 26: Matt VanFossen
– July 3: Wheeling Symphony Orchestra
– July 4: Weirton 4th of July Celebration
– July 11: Soulful Femme / House of Soul (Second Saturday)
– July 24: My So-Called 90’s Band
– July 31: Gospel Night
– Aug. 8: New Age Adenas / Aristotle Jones: The Appalachian Soul Man (Second Saturday)
– Sept. 12: The Trainjumpers / Suns of Beaches (Second Saturday)
Gates for the Friday night concerts will open at 7 p.m., with music beginning at 8 p.m. Second Saturday events are scheduled from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., with concerts beginning at 6 p.m.
Organizers encourage attendees to bring lawn chairs, gather friends and family, and enjoy a welcoming, community-focused atmosphere.
