Steubenville Police Afraid: A city resident told police she’d been assaulted by her son and had fled the residence, Tuesday. She said she was doing her hair when he walked in the room “and struck her on the back of the head multiple times.” She said he also hit her on the hands, then pulled out a pocketknife and opened it. She had no visible injuries and refused treatment or to pursue charges but told police her son has physiological issues and his doctor had changed his medications.
