Two Weirton residents charged in alleged vehicle, copper thefts

WEIRTON — Two Weirton residents are facing charges in relation to the alleged theft of items from local vehicles, as well as copper from telephone poles in the area. Jason Michael Sandy, 45, and Judith Kay Kernen, 48, of 3634 Lindberg Way, were taken into custody by Weirton police Thursday following the execution of a search warrant at their residence. Sandy has been charged with four counts of breaking and entering a nonresidence, along with one count of grand larceny. Steubenville announces fall cleanup schedule

STEUBENVILLE — It’s fall cleanup time for Steubenville residents. Beginning Friday, Sept. 18, city sanitation crews will be out collecting unwanted household items from residents with active and current utility accounts.
