BLOOMINGDALE — A new event held by the Cross Creek Elementary School Parent-Teacher Organization was a team effort, and so were the various works of art that served as the focus of the group's first Art Gala, held at Jefferson County Joint Vocational School. According to club officials, 14 hard-working and knowledge-filled teams participated, with sue Busler of Maryville, Ill., once again serving as master of ceremonies for this memory-testing event. Hunkler's Heroes was the top finisher this year. The FOPhds finished second, with Weir High School finishing third.
