Indian Creek Board Sets Special Meeting
WINTERSVILLE -- The Indian Creek Local School District Board of Education will hold a special meeting at 7 a.m. Tuesday at the district’s administrative offices, 100 Park Drive.
Immediately following the special meeting, the Indian Creek Records Commission will meet to review the district’s records retention schedule.
Road Closures Planned for Weirton’s July 4 Celebration
WEIRTON -- West Virginia Route 2 (Main Street) and all intersecting roads in Weirton will be closed from 3-11 p.m. Saturday for the city’s Independence Day and America’s 250th Celebration.
Traffic will be directed by local law enforcement. Motorists are advised to reduce speed, expect delays and use alternate routes.
Officials noted that inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances could alter the schedule.
Area Students Named to Miami University’s Dean’s List
OXFORD, Ohio -- Two area students have been named to the Dean’s List at Miami University for the spring 2026 semester.
Students recognized for ranking in the top 20% of undergraduate students within their academic divisions are: Brooklyn Lengyel of Rayland and Kiera O’Brien of Steubenville.
Miami University, founded in 1809, enrolls more than 22,000 undergraduate students and is consistently ranked among the nation’s top public universities by U.S. News & World Report.
