Toronto makes it back-to-back wins
TORONTO — The Toronto softball team made it wins on back-to-back days Wednesday, topping visiting East Liverpool 7-1.
The victory evens the Red Knights record back up at 12-12 ahead of a battle with Madonna today.
The Red Knights got a triple and an RBI from Keiara Bailey, a double and two RBIs from JJ Rebich, two hits from Jaylee Brown, two hits an an RBI from Arianna Highsmith and two RBIs from Anna Wright.
Maddie Asafailo struck out four and walked three in a complete game in the circle.
Edison tops Barnesville
BARNESVILLE — The Edison softball team went on the road and knocked off Barnesville on Wednesday, 14-5.
The Wildcats got a triple, single and three RBIs from Sophia Henderson, a double, single and two RBIs from Abby Boka, two RBIs from Bella Cronin, two hits and an RBI from Chloe Peckens and a double, single and an RBI from Ava Hanlin.
Edison (15-9) hosts Union Local today.

Brooke tops UL
WELLSBURG — The Brooke baseball team made it three wins in their last four games with an 11-4 victory over visiting Union Local on Wednesday.
The Bruins (12-17-1) got a homer, triple, single and three RBIs from Andrew Murdock, while Zac O’Mery doubled, singled and drove in a run, Ty Sperringer drove in two runs, Geno Provenzano doubled and singled and Aiden Provenzano doubled in a run.
Nicos Palavis went the first 3 1/3 innings, striking out five and walking four for the win on the mound while Tyson Klick came on and went the final 3 2/3 for a save, striking out two and walking one.
Brooke hosts Monroe Central today.
