Barstool Sports’ Rough N Rowdy returning to WesBanco Arena
WHEELING — Jerry Thomas, the long-time promoter of the Original Toughman Contest, partnered with Barstool Sports in 2022 and took over the promotion of all Barstool Rough N Rowdy Brawl events. The Barstool Rough N Rowdy events are in addition to the Toughman Contest events, which Thomas has been promoting for 40 years.
The next RNR event will be held on Friday, Aug. 18, in Wheeling at WesBanco Arena. The event will be Barstool’s 22nd RNR event and the second one to be held in Wheeling. The first event was held in May of 2022 and was an enormous success.
The “Main Event” will feature Bobby “Lights Out” Laing versus Michael “Make It Happen” Brown.
Other fights include Kacey “Hotwheelz” Wheeler facing Malaysia “The Boxing Barbie” Mackey, Dwarf champion “Lightning” Jeremy Smith versus Rafezy, Belmont’s Brad “The American Redneck” Huntsman versus Joe “The Black Italian” Mogavero for the RNR Super Heavyweight Title, Barnesville’s Hunter “The Polish Hammer” Markovich versus Daniel “Diamond Hands” Amesbury, Trace ” The Strawberry” Cowboy” Robey versus James ” The Italian Stallion” Bongiorno, and many more exciting fight.
