Owners should be in control

To the editor: There are many businesses around the area that many people support and whose owners have employees under them to run the place. The responsibility of the owner is to keep everything under control within the place, as well as whoever is in control when the owner is not in. If the owner or manager cannot take care of things when someone brings a problem to them, then there is a problem. Many businesses have young people working on the job, and some are in the habit of playing around on the job when the boss is not around. I know, because I have been in a couple of ...

Stop the interference

To the editor: On Wednesday, Dimitri Vassilaros had on his radio program Bernie Moreno, a Republican candidate running for senator in Ohio. Moreno announced that the Lordstown plant had filed for bankruptcy. Checking into this, I found a 2022 story on WKYC-TV in Cleveland titles “U.S. Dept. of Energy announces $2.5 billion loan for Ultium Cells: How Lordstown is impacted in plan to create lithium-ion battery facilities.” In the report, it was explained that Ultium Cells, a joint venture between GM and LG Energy Solutions, will manage battery cell production at the three ...

Vote yes on Issue One

To the editor: The “progressive” minions of Planned Parenthood are in a dither about Issue One on the August ballot. Raising the percentage of the vote to be in greater agreement with the federal Congress seems to offend them greatly. In a blatant attempt to remake Orthodox Christianity in the image of Biden-Pelosi, this coven proposes a petition to make abortion a state law, and they believe they have a chance of success if the rule remains at 50 percent plus one. In this petition is a blatant attempt to override the First and 14th amendments, and the divine commandment ...

Indian Creek golf outing a success

To the editor: Indian Creek would like to thank the following individuals and businesses for donating their time and making a contribution to our annual golf outing. Thanks to them, the 18th-annual Indian Creek Golf Outing was a huge success. All proceeds will benefit the Indian Creek athletic program and football team. First, I would like to thank Marshall Hone and Highland Springs Golf Course for their overwhelming hospitality. I would like to thank my football staff for all of the hard work they did in preparation for the outing and the time they put in during the outing. I ...

Trump did it

To the editor: I can’t believe I’m explaining this to grown American so-called patriots. Donald Trump’s being investigated and charged for violations under the Espionage Act because he almost certainly intentionally violated the Espionage Act. It’s not retribution by his political enemies. After all, as Trump’s lawyer said, “The targeting prosecution of a leading political opponent is the type of thing you see in dictatorships.” Or as Trump said the same day, “I will appoint a real special prosecutor to go after ... Biden.” Remember, when campaigning in 2016, Trump ...

A look at some ‘truths’

To the editor: I sit here and think about the rules set forth recently by the “real” mothers in the movements targeting LGBTQIA+ presentations at the local library. Somehow recognition of a marginalized community causes other communities to feel ostracized by acknowledging that the others exist. Here’s a few things that are “truths” to me about the entire movement. First the solution to all problems seems to be having a Bible at hand. A regular old, common, King James Version (written in English), Christian Bible. Yeah, it’s really that simple, according to the rules ...
