Owners should be in control

2 min read

To the editor:

There are many businesses around the area that many people support and whose owners have employees under them to run the place.

The responsibility of the owner is to keep everything under control within the place, as well as whoever is in control when the owner is not in. If the owner or manager cannot take care of things when someone brings a problem to them, then there is a problem.

Many businesses have young people working on the job, and some are in the habit of playing around on the job when the boss is not around. I know, because I have been in a couple of places myself and witnessed it. Not only do they play around, some tend to harass and give trouble to certain customers.

All customers who walk into a business should not be harassed or made fun of by any worker when they are purchasing something. If this does happen, the owner needs to be told about the situation so he or she can speak with the person and resolve the issue so it doesn't happen again.

If the owner doesn't take care of the issue, then there is a problem with the place of business.

Businesses should have respect for people if they want them to come back and not tell others how they have been treated.
