Mamdani election an anathema
To the editor: There is a story of a mock election in a third-grade school class. Three candidates were vying to become class president. One promised to paint the walls and hang pictures; the second one promised colorful chalk and a bigger blackboard; the third one just promised “free ice cream.” Guess who won? Not one kid asked, “How do we pay for the ice cream?” The New York Democrats and populus who voted for Mamdani underscore the perversion of our democracy.
