Stella was born August 21, 1932, in Steubenville, daughter of the late Herman and Mary Ann (Popko) Pawelczyk. She was also preceded in death by her husband, James C. ‘Jim’ Westlake in 2009, her daughter, Mary Kay Westlake in February of 2025; six brothers, Stanley, Herman, Walter, Paul, Cas and Alex, and two sisters, Sarah Rujak and Theresa Petroski.
