He was born April 23, 1933 in Akron, OH, a son of the late William A. and Ruth Marie (Esworthy) Marshall. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Mary I. Marshall; daughter, Shawn (Marshall) Pickens, grandson, Richard Bonecutter III, and brother Gerald Marshall. James served his country in the United States Army.
