Maggie Hawkins

She was born Jan. 30, 1948, in Madison FL, the daughter of the late James Cason and Ruby Morant Cason.

She was a 1966 graduate of Steubenville High School and worked as a clerk at Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel. Maggie was Baptist by faith.

Besides her parents, she was also preceded in death by her sister, Mary Kirby, brother, Wilbert Cason and a grandson, Israel Thornton.

Maggie is survived by her husband, Jeffrey Hawksins of Steubenville, three daughters; Kisha (Leslie) Washington of Weirton, Denise Hawkins Smith of Ambridge, PA and Maggie Cason of Steubenville.

She is also survived by six sons; Jeffrey Hawkins Jr. of Youngstown, Raphell (Annette) Byrd of Cleveland, Theo (Tennishe) Thorton of Cleveland, Chris Hawkins of Steubenville, Ivan (Christine) Hawkins of Steubenville and Caesar (Erica) Hawkins of Steubenville; one sister, Laura Racero of Columbus, OH, and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, relatives and friends.

Calling hours will be held from 10 a.m. to noon at Vinson House of Mortuary in Steubenville on Tuesday, with funeral services to follow, Rev. Norries A. Hood officiating.
