Great Trail Festival Set for Labor Day Weekend MALVERN — The 46th annual Great Trail Festival will be held Sept. 5-7 at 6331 Canton Road in Malvern. The French and Indian-era re-creation near the Great Indian Trail will feature an 18th-century marketplace, artisans and demonstrations of traditional crafts. Activities will include music, Scottish pipers, fiddlers, clog dancers, buckskinners, fur trappers, campfires, teepee lodges, cannon firing and tomahawk throwing. Wellsburg Kiwanis to hold annual chicken dinner

WELLSBURG – Area residents can get dinner and help support a local civic organization and their community projects all at one time. The Wellsburg Kiwanis Club's annual Famous Chicken BBQ is set for Thursday at the Wellsburg United Methodist Church. “We've been doing it since the 1950s,” club President Eric Fithyan said. Chicken dinners may be purchased at $15 each, and will be available from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., or until sold out.
