STEUBENVILLE POLICE Water theft alleged: A water department employee who shut off water to a residence in the 3600 block of Sunset Boulevard alleged a resident had tampered with her water meter and was using water she didn’t have to pay for. The resident told police she was aware the pipe had been changed but insisted it was done by “a man unknown to her” and she didn’t know his name. STEUBENVILLE POLICE Rolling stop: A motorist who didn’t put her vehicle in park before she got out of it at PNC Bank was injured Monday when it rolled backward, hit her and then came to rest against a fence. She told police she pulled up in front of the main entrance and got out, and when the vehicle began drifting backwards it “caused her to fall underneath (it).” Police said her leg and arm were injured, so she was taken to the hospital for treatment.
