Church to hold indoor garage sale
STEUBENVILLE — Grace Lutheran Church, located at 2105 Sunset Blvd. in Steubenville, will host an indoor garage sale from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. May 3. Lunch will be available for purchase.
Ten percent of the funds raised will go to an area community organization, according to organizers.
Cultural Club to hold 100th anniversary
WINTERSVILLE — The Italian American Cultural Club will hold its 100th anniversary event May 18 at St. Florian Hall.
Members will honor area residents, inducting them into the new Italian American Honor Guild, according to officials.
Those to be honored include, Francesca Carinci, Rita Carapellotti, Ed Laman, Domenick Mucci and Reno Saccoccia.
The club will honor its oldest living member, Mary Ann Patrizio, as well honor Carmela Gentile for initiating the group’s yearly Campo Italiano event.
To be honored posthumously, will be past members Rick Pastre, Dr. John Metcalf and the Rev. Edmundo Stabene.
Town hall scheduled
WHEELING — The County Democratic Executive committees of the Northern Panhandle will host a town hall from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. May 3 at the Ironworkers Hall, located at 2350 Main St. in Wheeling. The hall is handicapped accessible.
The event is being held for the public to address their concerns regarding federal issues, according to officials.
Sen. Shelley Moore Capito and Sen. Jim Justice, as well as Rep. Riley Moore, have been invited to answer questions from the audience.
Steven Wendelen, who ran for Congress in 2024, along with Glenn Elliott, who ran for the U. S. Senate, have agreed to moderate the event.
Light refreshments will be available.
