Why you must vote Democrat

To the editor: In this boiling pot of incessant political turmoil, many are voicing dissatisfaction with the policies currently being implemented by our federal government. The loudest, most vociferous plaints heard concern the massive crossing of our southern border by asylum seekers, asylum seekers in quest of opportunity in our great land. These people are fleeing from oppressive countries where such opportunity is denied. Are the complaints of those in opposition to mass migration justified? To the editor: President Woodrow Wilson signed a bill in 1914 designating the second Sunday in May as Mother’s Day. This day was dedicated “to the best mother in the world, your mother.” (The Old Farmer’s Almanac, 2021). Presidents since then have remembered this day as a special day to honor all mothers. To the editor: Trump accuser E. Jean Carroll claims Donald Trump assaulted her in a department store dressing room, 30 years ago. Over the years, Carroll has reportedly accused six other men, besides Trump, of assault, including former CBS head Les Moonves. The others, shockingly, she never named, saying only that she’d been assaulted. That’s quite a statistic, when you think about it. How many women can claim to have been assaulted seven times? To the editor: Donald Trump is still trying an immunity defense as a reason he should be excused from trial for his many crimes. Now, I’ve already explained how an immunity challenge is not a declaration that the crimes in question didn’t happen but is rather an assertion that even though they are crimes, and he probably (certainly) did what he is accused of, he has a get-out-of-jail-free card built into the Constitution.
