Red Riders fall to Potters
WEIRTON — Playing one day later than origianlly scheduled, Weir High dropped a 64-51 decision to visiting East Liverpool on Wednesday evening in OVAC consolation pool action.
The Red Riders had three players reach double figures in the loss as Cayden Braswell led the way with 14 points, Jonathan Horstman netted 12 and Kason Lash tallied 10.
The Red Riders travel to Buckeye Local on Friday.
TUESDAY
Crusaders get narrow win
SHADYSIDE — The Catholic Central boys basketball team edged Shadyside on the road Tuesday night in an OVAC consolation game, 56-53.
Leading the Crusaders was Rahim Mitchell with 16 points, while Kolbe Krupp tallied 15 and Michael Fabbro 11.
Oak Glen wins on the road
HANOVERTON — The Oak Glen boys basketball team defeated United on the road Tuesday in OVAC consolation action, 48-36.
Mason Kell led the Bears with 11 points, while Noah Willey netted nine and Tyler Evans eight.
Creek tops Wellsville
WELLSVILLE — The Indian Creek boys basketball team earned a win in OVAC consolation action at Wellsville Tuesday night, 58-54.
Nishon White led Creek with 17 points, while Bruce Mazar and Evan McGrew each netted 12.
Edison edges Shenandoah
SARAHSVILLE — The Edison boys basketball team edged Shenandoah in OVAC consolation action Tuesday, 68-67.
