Big Red falls at Tri-Valley in tournament match
DRESDEN — The Big Red volleyball team’s season came to an end with a three set loss on the road at Tri-Valley on Wednesday.
Steubenville, which was the No. 3 seed in the East District side of the Division III, East/Southeast District tournament, finishes its season with a mark of 11-12.
Tri-Valley won the match by scores of 25-17, 25-14, 25-17.
The Scotties, who are the No. 2 seed, improve to 18-5 on the season.
They will face top seed Dover in the final of the east side of the bracket on Tuesday.
The Crimson Tornadoes defeated No. 4 seed New Philadelphia in their match up on Wednesday, also in three sets.
The winner meets the Southeast winner for a trip to regionals.
Big Red will lose three seniors from the team in Annabella Clutter, Giuliana Cramer and Emma Lyons.
