Young men and women up and down the Ohio Valley are preparing to take their final steps as high school students in the coming days.

Many are taking their final examinations, clearing out their lockers, seeing their teachers, and many of their classmates, for the final time. They have their caps and gowns and are preparing to walk across the stage to receive their diploma.

The ceremony is but a relatively brief moment in their lives, but an important one nonetheless, because of what it signifies.

To those high school seniors, this is a milestone moment in your lives. You are entering a new stage, that often is filled with uncertainty as you begin the journey that will take you through the rest of your lives.

Do you enroll in a traditional college program, pursuing a two- or four-year degree? How about a trade school, earning certifications which can get you into a path with jobs in manufacturing, welding, automotive tech, or more? What about the military, dedicating yourself to the role of serving the nation? Perhaps you have an opportunity to join the workforce right out of high school? Or, maybe, you’ve opted to take a little time to find yourself before making those steps.

Whatever path you take, we hope you greet every step, and every challenge with enthusiasm, hard work, and dedication, knowing it will take you closer to reaching your goals.

Build the life of your dreams, look to your future, but never forget the lessons you’ve received in the past. They will help to guide you.
