Daunna J. Moffo, 79, of New Alexandria, OH, passed away Friday April 4, 2025 in the emergency room at Trinity Medical Center West, Steubenville, OH. She was born October 8, 1945 in West Union, WV, a daughter of the late Bernard B. and Clara (Swiger) Ford, Sr. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George A. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Sharon (Martin) Snider. James retired from Weirton Steel and also retired from Hancock County Schools where he worked as a bus driver. LaVerne Rochelle Smith, aged 53, passed away on March 2, 2025, in Phoenix, AZ. Born on October 11, 1971, LaVerne completed her education at Weir High School. She leaves behind her son, Joshua; grandson, Juan Marley; her twin sister, LeVonne; and brothers William, Brandon, and Bruce. LaVerne was preceded in death by our mother, Joyce L. Smith.
