BEARNICE PETERS
Bearnice (Bea) Peters, age 103, passed away on Tuesday evening February 17, 2026.
She was born on November 25, 1922 in Flatwoods, WV a daughter of the late Hubert R. and Dessie Lea Butcher Westfall.
Bea married her husband Charles Linger in 1943 and were married for 22 years. Charles passed away in 1965. They were blessed with 5 children, Charlene Speedy of Weirton, WV, Terry Linger (Deceased), Gary Linger (Deceased), and Gregg Linger of Florence, PA and Kirk Linger of Weirton, WV; 10 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.
Her most important thing in her life was her Faith in God.
After the passing of her husband, she married Charles Peters and they were married for 45 years until his passing in 2016.
Bea worked for 15 years at Hobbs Dairy, a milk processing plant. She also worked at The Farm and Overlook Restaurants in Paris, PA. In her younger years she loved horses, gardening and canning food that she and her family grew.
To honor Mrs. Peter’s wishes, services and entombment in Highland Hills Memorial Gardens, Follansbee, WV will be held privately under the direction of Slater Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc. of Burgettstown, PA.
