ROBERT “HUCK” HANUSCIN

Huck was born March 20, 1938, in Toronto, son of the late Pete and Katherine (Volchko) Hanuscin. He was also preceded in death by an infant son, brother Steve and sister Mary Ann Karaffa.

Huck worked 41 years in the Maintenance Dept. of the Timet-Titanium Manufacturing Plant in Toronto until his retirement in 2000. He was a Veteran of the US Navy.

His memberships included the St. Joseph Byzantine Catholic Church in Toronto and the Toronto American Legion Post #86. Huck had a deep love for his family and the Notre Dame Fighting Irish.

Huck leaves behind his wife, Jane (Taggart) Hanuscin, whom he married July 14, 1962; two sons, Doug (Nichole) Hanuscin of Shelby, OH, and Greg (Kim) Hanuscin of Avon, OH; daughter, Danielle (George) Dobbs of Toronto; eight grandchildren, Tanner, Tara, Jordan, Mackenzie, Morgan, Hannah, Jake and Addison and two great-grandchild, Isla and Ivy.

Family and friends will be received on Friday, Oct. 17 from 4:30 pm to 7:30 pm at the J.E. Foster Funeral Home in Toronto, where a Panachida Service will be held on Saturday at 9:15 am. A Solemn Divine Liturgy will follow at 10 am at St. Joseph Byzantine Church with the Rev. Fr. David Bosnic with interment to follow in the Toronto Union Cemetery. www.jefosterfh.com
