HERBERT MORRIS

Even though his stay at the Orchards Nursing home in Chester was a short one we thank them for all the love and care they gave him.

Herb was born in Wileyville, WV on Dec. 26, 1929. He attended Hundred High School where he met the love of his life Lorene Hostutler. They married Nov. 4, 1950. Herb served his country as a Corporal in the Marines. After the Marines they moved to Weirton, WV getting a job on the pickler line at Weirton Steel. He retired in 1990.

He was preceded in death by his wife Lorene Mae Hostutler Morris on Jan. 30, 2013. His son Herbert Stephen “Steve” Morris on April 4, 1995. His son-in-law Samuel Ramsey July 13, 2013. His mom and dad Martie Ellen “Ellie” Wise Morris and Russell Morris. Four sisters Dorothy Postlethwait, Beatrice (Bea) Cain, Lois Sivert and Norma Regilio Pigott.

Surviving are his daughters Sherrie Ramsey (Samuel), Cheryl Butler (Curt). His grandchildren Mindy Morris, Chase Butler, Chad Butler (Tiffany), Jennifer Ramsey-Carson Wayne, Colleen Ramsey. His great grandchildren Michaela Morris, Elijah Morris, Ava Mae Ramsey-Simmons, Cole and Clayton Butler. His two brothers Herbert and Billy Morris of New Martinsville, WV and a sister Betty Cook of Proctorville, OH. Many Nieces and Nephews.

Steve Grimm from the Colliers Way Church of Christ in Weirton, WV will officiate the private service held for the family at the Turley Funeral Home. He will be buried at Millcreek Hill Cemetery in Georgetown, PA. He was a member of the Tomlison Run Church of Christ in Georgetown, PA.
