DONALD RUSSLEE

Don was born September 9, 1948, in Steubenville, OH, son of the late George S. and Dorothy A. (Huber) Russlee.

He was a 1966 graduate of Toronto High School. After graduation Don went to work at the Hancock Mfg. Plant in Toronto for a short time before getting hired at the Ohio Edison First Energy Sammis Plant in Stratton, OH. Don worked as a Control Room Operator and later retired in 2009 with 41 years of service.

Don leaves behind his daughter, Jenny and husband GR Dickinson of Toronto; twin brother, Ken Russlee also of Toronto and brother, Ed Russlee of Mansfield, OH; niece and nephews, Eric, Brian and Katie Russlee, and special friend, Hayden Grimm.

He also leaves behind his grandchildren who referred to him as “Pap”, Nolan, Russ, and Josey Dickinson, who were his absolute world. Don was so proud of all their accomplishments in their academics and the multiple sports that they played. He loved to watch them compete on the court or the field, and he also loved watching Ohio State and Steeler football.

In following Don’s wishes, there will be no public services held and his burial will be held at the convenience of his family. Memorial donations may be directed to the Toronto High School Alumni Association.
