KEVIN SHANNON

Kevin Christopher Shannon, 47, known by all who knew him as KC, passed away in his home in New Smyrna Beach, Florida last week. KC was born and raised in Steubenville, Ohio on January 21, 1976. He was a graduate of Steubenville High School and Kent State University before moving to Central Florida in the late 1990s. An avid hockey fan and player, KC loved indoor and outdoor sports and activities, was a lifelong fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers and Penguins (before it was cool) and enjoyed fishing, surfing, cooking and playing his guitar. KC is survived by, and missed immensely by his loving parents, Newt and Nancy Shannon (nee Faulkner), and brother Jay. He is also missed by his aunts and uncles, Carole and Chuck Waugh, Vicki and Jerry Gast, John Faulkner and Gayle Shannon, as well as many beloved cousins and friends. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Carl and Wanda Shannon, John and Evelyn Faulkner and uncle Leonard Shannon. A celebration of life service will be held at a future date.
