Traffic reminder issued before Weirton Independence Day events

WEIRTON – As part of the festivities for the Independence Day holiday, portions of Main Street in Weirton will be closed to traffic from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday. Vehicles will not be allowed to travel between Cove Road and Marland Heights Road, with motorists traveling south detoured onto Cove Road and U.S. 22, and northbound traffic sent onto Marland Heights Road and then West Street, where they will travel to the Lee Avenue intersection and back onto Main Street.
