Steubenville spreading holiday cheer
STEUBENVILLE — Steubenville High School is spreading some Christmas spirit for families in the school community through Operation Holiday Cheer.
Jackie Reeves, director of gifted services, and school counselor Adele Filtz are heading the program, which previously was known as Stuff the Bus. They said they hope to help dozens of families in the Steubenville City School District this season.
Sponsor forms and donations are due to each school office by Wednesday, but organizers will accept them after the deadline. Community members, local businesses, families and others may contribute at various levels, including Gingerbread for $25, Elf for $50, Rudolph for $100, or Santa to fulfill an entire family’s wish list. Checks should be made payable to Steubenville High School and sponsors can choose to support a child directly by listing a specific student name and school, if applicable. They will be publicly recognized unless they prefer to remain anonymous. Lists should be received by Monday and gift distribution will be set in time for the holiday.
For information, contact the high school at (740) 282-9741.
