BLOOMINGDALE — Bigger and even better is how Donetta Campbell, event coordinator, describes the 2025 County Road 39 Farm Festival.

Campbell said there’s more of everything in store for festival-goers — from food vendors, baked goods and musical acts to games, animals and, of course, fun — at this year’s festival, set for Saturday and Sunday at the Pinkerton-Gross Farm, located at 775 county Road 39 in Bloomingdale.

“The outpouring of the community has been wonderful” she added. “We have grown to more than 50 vendors, and the festival will be packed with entertainment, food vendors, crafts and bake sale items, children’s games, animals and more.”

Campbell said the planning committee “has been working hard to bring this year’s event together.”

“The outpouring of the community has been wonderful,” she said. “And it all comes together with the support of Wayne Township Trustee Darren Pinkerton and his wife, Eva, who roll out the welcome mat.”

The Pinkertons host the festival, in its second year, at their farm, where they’ve installed a lighted fountain in their pond and added a covered back porch to their Pancake Sausage House.

Campbell said they’re also thankful for the efforts of their volunteer planning committee, the area youth who donate their time and talents to making the project a success as well as community members who’ve stepped up to help, including a neighbor who offered them use of one of his fields for additional parking.

“Their dedication brings this all together,” she said.

The festivities will kick off with a flag raising at 8 a.m. both mornings and wrap up with a flag lowering at 6 p.m. There will be activities for children from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. each day.

On Saturday, the festivities will kick off with a flag raising at 8 a.m., featuring local veterans. The morning’s musical entertainment will be provided by Evan Conn (8:15 a.m.), DJ Cool Bobby C and the Vinyl Classics (9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.) and Adam Kiaski (10:30 a.m. to 11:15 a.m.), with a pie eating contest to follow at 11:30 a.m. Norm Keyser and the Acoustics Band will perform from noon to 2 p.m., with the Garyatrics Band closing out the musical entertainment between 5 p.m. and 6 p.m. In between, attendees can check out the cornhole tournament, which has a $10 team entry fee.

The Sunday lineup features a flag raising with local veterans at 8 a.m. and a church service from 11:45 a.m. to 12:15 p.m., as well as a car show with DJ Frank Allen from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. and pie contest (entries must be homemade, include a copy of the recipe and be submitted by noon to be eligible for judging at 5 p.m., after which the entries will be auctioned off to raise funds for the festival.) Musical entertainment will be provided by DJ Cool Bobby C and the Vinyl Classics (8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.), Marvin Whitman (1 p.m. to 2 p.m.) and the Ron Retzer Trio (3 p.m. to 5 p.m.) The flag will be lowered with closing remarks (6 p.m.), followed by a special performance by Abby Abondaza from the Poverty Neck Hillbillies and THW.

Food vendors include the All American Burger LLC, 5-0 BBQ, Rusty Bull Taco, Ice Cream Island, the Cheesy Pack, Vandy’s Sugar Shack, Cheryl’s Diner/Baby Cakes, Jimmy Jukes Wood-Fired Pizza and Kathy’s Fresh Popped Kettle Corn.

The festival’s Pancake Sausage House will be open both days, with hot dogs available both days from the Patriotic Ladies. The local church, Grace Point, will have bean soup and corn bread.
