Steubenville Police Wrong answer: A man purporting to be a physician tried to call in a prescription for promethazine, an antihistamine, for a woman, “Cindy,” Friday. Employees at Walgreens said the caller tried to use the doctor’s information, but when they asked for his credentials “the caller (said) he would have to call them back,” at which point the employee told him “she did not believe (he) was actually (the doctor)” and he hung up. Jefferson County Sheriff Assaulted: A Wintersville resident asked her neighbor to call for help because her boyfriend was assaulting her, Wednesday. The victim told deputies the man “threw her down, choked her and punched her in the right eye. Deputies said she had a scratch on her back. and her neck appeared red, her eye was beginning to swell and she had a bite mark on her arm that she said was from a prior incident. Jefferson County Sheriff Run while you can: A Toronto caller reported seeing a red Polaris side-by-side pull up in front of his house where the woman jumped out, the two of them argued and the woman stated, “You hit me and I’m not coming back” before running off into the woods, Saturday. The male told the caller to “go ahead and call (law enforcement) because I know all of them and they won’t do anything,” then took off to follow the woman.
