Steubenville Police Pushy people: A man who had gathered sympathy cards left by family and friends at his mother’s funeral said her sibling and another person snatched them out of his hands and refused to relinquish them, Friday. He told police he’d planned her funeral and was in charge of her property and felt he and his sibling should have had the cards so they could read through them. Steubenville Police Scissors hand: A man who had business with Social Security was upset when he was told he couldn’t bring his trauma scissors into the office, Wednesday. Police were told the man “became argumentative” when a security officer told him the scissors weren’t allowed in the office but left before police arrived. Steubenville police Money pit: Tennessee residents who’d hired a Pennsylvania contractor to work on a house they own in Steubenville said he “strung them along and continued asking for money … for work, materials and other supplies,” Tuesday. They said the Wilkinsburg contractor had wanted them to pay him through money apps but they’d refused, choosing to send him money through the Wal-Mart money center so they’d have official receipts for the nearly $2,000 they paid him.
