Steubenville Police Hot and cold: A Pennsylvania man came to Steubenville to collect the laptop, speaker box, cell phone and vehicle he’d left at his “on-again, off-again” girlfriend’s Sunset Boulevard residence, and when neither she nor his car were there told police he’d like them to tow it if they find it, Sunday. It was located a couple of hours later in a parking lot and after confirming he was willing to pay for the charges, police had it towed. Steubenville Police Bird Man: A driver who allegedly had a bird perched on his shoulder when he crashed his vehicle into an embankment at the intersection of Lovers Lane and county Road 26 was cited after a witness produced a photo of him he took before he tried to flee the scene on a zero-turn lawn tractor, Friday. Police said Ryan E. Doran, 117 Meadow Road, Wintersville, was charged with failure to control and leaving the scene and the vehicle and a trailer he’d used to haul the tractor were impounded.
