Magic, hypnosis set at 7 Ranges

STEUBENVILLE — David Anthony will bring his high-energy magic and comedy hypnosis show to the stage at 7 Ranges Entertainment on April 17.

The evening begins with jaw-dropping magic that will leave you questioning everything, organizers said. Then, in the second half, the audience becomes the stars, as volunteers take the stage for a hypnosis experience.

Doors will open at 6 p.m. with a cash bar and full menu available. The show starts at 7 p.m., with full food and drink service available in the showroom.

The event is reserved seating only. High-top tables for two are available, as well as private tables for groups of up to 10 guests

Easter event set

FOLLANSBEE — Follansbee United Methodist Church, located at 1002 Virginia Ave., will hold am Easter trunk-or-treat event from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. April 4.

Harmony Church sets services

MINGO JUNCTION — Harmony Church of Mingo Junction at 2119 Commercial Ave. has planned its Holy Week services.

The schedule includes: Maundy Thursday dinner, 6 p.m. April 2; Good Friday cross walk, 11 a.m. April 3; and Good Friday services at 7 p.m. April 3.

WMC Auxiliary sets sale

WEIRON — The Weirton Medical Center Auxiliary will hold a books and gift sale from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday and 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday.

The sale will be held in the atrium at WVU Medicine-Weirton Medical Center, located on Colliers Way.

Library activities scheduled

STEUBENVILLE — Numerous activities have been planned at the branches of the Public Library of Steubenville and Jefferson County.

At the main library, for adults, take a deep dive into the book “The Lord of the Flies” by William Golding at 5:30 p.m. April 7 and 21. Call 740-282-9782 to join the book club.

At the Adena Branch, for children, register now for Tot Time that will be at 11:30 a.m. April 6. Parents or caregivers with children between the ages of 2 and 4 will enjoy interactive stories and songs. Story Time for children between the ages of 5 and 10 will be at 5:30 p.m. April 6. Register at 740-320-0009 to attend.

At the Brilliant Branch, for children, “The Sour Grape” by Jory John is included in this month’s Grab-and-Go Story Time along with an activity to do at home. Bags are available starting April 6 while supplies last.

At the Schiappa Branch, for teens, pick up supplies to make a bee keychain from nuts and bolts. This Grab-and-Go craft is available starting April 10 while supplies last. And at the Tiltonsville Branch, for children, “The Sour Grape” by Jory John is included in this month’s Grab-and-Go Story Time along with an activity to do at home. Bags are available starting April 6 while supplies last.
