Applications continue to be accepted for this year’s Valley’s Got Talent competition, set for 4 p.m. Nov. 23 in Steubenville High School’s auditorium. Hosted by the Sycamore Youth Center and Ohio Valley Youth Network, the event will include a special performance from past winners Lynzee Ensell, left, an eighth-grader at Harding Middle School and winner of the 2021 event; and Dalana Bove, a sophomore at Indian Creek High School and winner of the 2024 contest. The girls will perform during the judges’ deliberation period, according to Bobbyjon Bauman, Sycamore’s executive director and OVYN president. Contestants must live within a 35-mile radius of Steubenville, be between the ages of 13 and 23 and be talented in the area of dance, music, performance or creative expression. Bands, choirs or soloists can include accompanying adults; however, only performers 13-23 will be judged. Entries must reflect positive, faith-centered themes. Tryouts will be held at Steubenville Catholic Central High School, 2:45 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Nov. 4; Steubenville High School, 2:30 p.m. to 3:15 p.m. Nov. 6; Edison High School, 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. Nov. 13; and Sycamore, 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Nov. 15.
