Church Sermon Topics
The following churches have announced their sermon topics for this week’s services:
• Bell Chapel United Methodist Church, Steubenville: The 10 a.m. sermon will be “The Ups and Downs of David: Facing Giants,” given by the Rev. Seth Filburn.
• Cadiz Presbyterian Church: “The Ten Commandments of Fellowship.”
• Cove Presbyterian Church, Weirton: The 11 a.m. sermon will be entitled “Why So Downcast?” given by Elder Bobby Jones.
• Finley Church, Steubenville: The 10:45 a.m. sermon will be “Salt and Light,” taken from the sermon series entitled, “The Red Letters — A Deep Dive into the Sermon on the Mount,” by the Rev. Greg Kasler. The 6 p.m. service will be prayer.
• Harmony Church of Mingo Junction: “When Three Equals One.”
• Rush Run Community Chapel, Rayland: “Riches of Grace.”
• St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, Steubenville: “Law and Order.”
• St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church, Steubenville: “My Soul is Athirst for God.”
• Starkdale Presbyterian Church, Wintersville: “Can it Get Better Than This?” will be the sermon given by guest preacher the Rev. Philip Makari.
• Toronto First Methodist Church: “We Alone Can Sing the Song of the Redeemed!” will be the sermon given by speaker Jackie Baker.
• Weirton First Christian Church: “Deviled Ham.”
• Weirton Heights Memorial Baptist Church: “The Exhalted Christ.”
• Wintersville Church of Christ: “Philippians 3: On Toward the Goal!”
• Wintersville Methodist Church: “Bible Alive 2025 — Go into All the World.”
• Zion United Church of Christ, Steubenville: “Reading the Fine Print,” will be the sermon topic given by guest pastor, the Rev. David Brown.
