Edison High School’s eSports team made school history by qualifying for its first tournament. Coach Derek Gulling stated the team will play online in the eSports Ohio Fall Classic where video games will be played online and involve 36 teams on various dates. The Battle Royale for “Fortnite” is set for Tuesday. Gulling said eSports is growing across America. Many programs are structured in a way that mimics traditional sports and includes leagues, tournaments, invitationals and practice schedules. Team members include, from left, Victor Grimm, Thomas Falla, Dylan Falla, Payton Markert and Jace Busby. Also participating are Kyle Martin and Javen Gordon.
