Brooke County Sheriff

Charged: Jason L. Falcone, 40, Bellaire, grand larceny and conspiring, Monday.

Charged: Ashley M. Johnson, 36, 3427 Orchard St., Weirton, possession of a controlled substance, Monday.

Charged: Richard D. Rogers Jr., 25, Hickory, Pa., domestic battery, Tuesday.

Charged: Shawna E. Roach, 45, 221 Walter Ave., Follansbee, conspiring to commit petit larceny and possession of stolen property, Tuesday.

Steubenville Police

Jeep vs. tree: Callers reported finding a blue Jeep Liberty wrecked and unoccupied, crashed into a tree in the lot between Dunkin Donuts and First Choice America Federal Credit Union, Wednesday. Police said the front end of the Jeep was damaged, including the driver’s side tire, radiator and hood. The tree also was damaged, and the rear plate was missing

Hit and skipped: Two taller white males in a black Toyota Avalon backed out of a parking space and struck the door on an unoccupied Toyota RAV4, Monday. A witness said the two exited the vehicle to survey the damage they’d done, then got back in and drove away. Police have the Avalon’s license plate. The owner of the RAV4 was notified of the damage.

Bicycle vs. car: A Highland Avenue resident said he was westbound on Franklin Avenue when a juvenile on a pedal bike went through a stop sign, striking his vehicle, Wednesday. His vehicle was not damaged and when they checked with the juvenile’s mother, she said her son was OK and didn’t need medical attention.

Served: James A. Stevens III, 38, 219 Walter Ave., Follansbee, bench warrant, Wednesday.

Code issues: Notices of violation was sent to the owners/occupants of properties at 1430 Ridge Ave., indoor furniture in the back yard near the property line; 1418 Euclid Ave., cardboard boxes, junk and indoor future on the front porch of the residence, a folding table and old fencing on side of property.

Booked: Michael Ledyard, 65, 801 Lawson Ave., Steubenville, two counts of disorderly conduct as well as resisting arrest, Monday.

Jefferson County Sheriff

Flagged: A city resident said her Pride flag was stolen from her porch, Wednesday. A witness gave deputies a picture of the truck, including its license plate, which they traced to an address on Commercial Street in Mingo Junction. The woman whose flag was stolen said she doesn’t want him to return to her property.

Account drained: A Cleveland resident said her mother, who lives in Dillonvale, has no money for groceries or expenses because someone in Georgia emptied her bank account, Wednesday. She said about $2,000 had been stolen and told deputies her mother doesn’t write checks and pays her bills with money orders or her debit card. She told deputies she thinks the fraudulent activity began when her mother applied for a loan over the telephone, giving the individual her Social Security number, bank account and other information.
