EDITH ‘EDIE’ KUSKO

Edie Kusko died at home in Weirton on Friday, July 3, after two months of home hospice care. Born Edith Mae Apitzsch on March 13, 1938, she was the daughter of Arthur and Eva Apitzsch of Weirton. She graduated from Follansbee High School with the Class of 1957 and then received a West Virginia teaching certificate. She was hired to teach at Edgewood School in Weirton, where she met fellow teacher George Kusko.
