Steubenville Police Holiday spirits: A man who allegedly persisted in causing problems at the Trinity Medical Center West while under the influence of alcohol ended up in custody after at least three encounters with police, Saturday. Police said Robert Wilfong, 51, was booked into the Jefferson County jail on a disorderly conduct charge for his own safety. Steubenville Police Not talking: A man was down in the 700 block of South Street, lying on the ground and “bleeding profusely from his forehead” but he refused to tell police what had happened or where he’d been, Thursday. Police said he “refused to answer questions” and when the Steubenville Fire Department’s ambulance arrived, he initially refused to go to the hospital, but they were able to make contact with his wife “and advised her of the circumstances.” He then agreed to go to the hospital, they said.
