Oak Glen to stage 'Our Place'
NEW MANCHESTER -- The OGMS Culture Club Players will be performing Terry Gabbard's "Our Place" on Feb. 7 and Feb. 8 on the Oak Glen Middle School stage.
In the play, the unassuming location of a dock extending out onto a small lake serves as the backdrop for a series of deeply personal stories, ranging from comedic to tragic, as all the characters come to learn the true meaning of Our Place.
Student cast members include: Ian Blake, Josh Blake, Cicily Burchett, Hayden Crago, Lydia DiBiagio, Colton Dunfee, Hayden Dunfee, Cierra Hale, Payton Heath, Mallory Heinrich, David Hinerman, Kayleigh Kernen, Maggie Lively and Nathan Mays.
Caraline Hale is the student stage and lighting director. Direction assistance has been provided by Shauna Smith, Dennis Bucon and Ally Brothers.
The production will begin at 6:30 p.m. for each performance. Admission is $4 for adults and $2 for students.
Snow White The Ballet premieres
at Lincoln Park
In February, 2017 Lincoln Park alumnus Zachary Mendola returns to Lincoln Park with the world premiere of his original ballet, Snow White. The performance features a live 20 piece orchestra and is an event for audiences of all ages.
Follow along as an evil witch, a poison apple, and the seven dwarfs tell the story of the fairest in the land.
Performances are schedule for 7:30 p.m. on Feb. 15; 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. on Feb. 16; and 2 p.m. on Feb. 17.
