Sears Holdings confirmed today that the Kmart store located on Three Springs Drive in Weirton will be closing in mid-April with a liquidation sale beginning Jan. 6. The closing will be the latest involving the company’s stores in our area. The Kmart in the Tri-State Plaza in Steubenville and the Sears store in the Fort Steuben Mall both were closed during the past year. For details, see the Thursday edition of the Herald-Star.
