WINTERSVILLE --The Italian American Cultural Club is planning its fall "Festa Del Vino" on Nov. 3.
Chairman Todd Piergallini stated three regions of Italy will be represented at the event along with wines of the respective regions. Along with the wine tasting, the evening will include Italian food, desserts, door prizes, Italian auctions and a silent auction.
The cost is $35 per person.
The doors will open at 5:30 pm. at St. Florian Hall.
The event raises funds for senior scholarships that will be presented in 2018. The IACC awards five $1,000 scholarships yearly.
Sponsors for the event are needed as well as auction items. Members are asked to bring to the meetings donated Italian items and wines for door prize baskets.
The August meeting was brought to order by Chaplain Michelle Fabbro. Secretary Judy Krenzel read the minutes of the July meeting, and Treasurer Frankie DiCarlantonio read the financial report.
Club members agreed to donate to the Trinity Foundation Tier Fund as part of charitable contributions. Members also agreed to have a collection to benefit a local burn victim.
New officers are needed for 2018. Contact Piergallini with nominations for president, vice president and chaplain.
Keenan Seditz, a graduate of Steubenville High School, sang a selection of songs during the recent meeting, and the Allegro Dance Company of Wheeling performed traditional Italian dances following the business meeting.
The entertainment for the Sept. 11. meeting will be Chris Denam, a Neil Diamond impersonator.
The month's winners were Raymond Piergallini, Vince Manini and Carol Almonte.
