PITTSBURGH — Ivan Nova rejuvenated his career during a solid two-month stint with the Pirates at the end of 2016. The pitcher hopes to build on that with Pittsburgh. Daniel Hudson, Pirates agree to 2-year deal

PITTSBURGH — The Pirates bolstered their bullpen on Monday, agreeing to an $11 million, two-year contract with reliever Daniel Hudson. Hudson, 29, will make $5.5 million in both 2017 and 2018. The contract includes $1.5 million annually in performance bonuses based on games finished starting at 30 and ending at 60. Hudson went 3-2 with a 5.22 ERA in 70 appearances for the Diamondbacks in 2016. BOARDMAN — Chris Bostick, a Rochester, N.Y. native and the newest member of the Pittsburgh Pirates was in eastern Ohio on Friday as part of the Pirates annual CARE-A-Van event. It’s been four years since he’s been back to this part of the country. Bostick, then a member of the Vermont Lake Monsters, was selected to the 2012 New York-Penn League All-Star Game at Eastwood Field in Niles.
