The Weir High golf team captured the second Hancock County Cup on Monday at Woodview Golf Course, defeating county rivals Madonna and Oak Glen to take home the trophy. The Red Riders also picked up a win over Brooke, sweeping the nine-hole quad match. Landon Donaldson led the now 26-6 Red Riders, who fired a team score of 160, with a score of 38, while Guy Meneely and Aiden Ferguson each shot a 40 and Jacob Sharrow 42. Madonna turned in a 167, led by match medalist Evn Kaczmarek with a 37. Maddox Chaffin fired a 39 to lead Oak Glen, which finished with a 171 as a team. Brooke fired a team score of 172, led by Max Malinky’s 41.
