BOYS
CLIPPERS CLIP CENTRAL
COLUMBIANA -- Geoffrey Malcolmson scored with a minute left in the game to lift Columbiana to a 1-0 win over Catholic Central in an OVAC Class 1-3A semifinal at the Ward Athletic Complex on Tuesday night.
The Clippers and Crusaders also played to a 0-0 draw on Sept. 17.
Columbiana (7-3-1) will play defending champion Wheeling Central at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday at Wheeling Island Stadium for the conference title.

BRUINS TOP TRINITY
WELLSBURG - Five different Bruins - Giacomo Dall'omo, Mason Dewitt, Elijah Sparks, Jaxon Johnson and Jacob Johnson - scored goals as Brooke defeated Trinity Christian 5-1 on Paul 'Bud' Billiard Field inside Brooke Memorial Stadium.
Jacob High added two assists while Jaxon Johnson and Cooper Wiley had a helper each.
Goalkeeper Bronson Pack made three saves.

RICHMOND -- The Edison boys soccer team blanked visiting Caldwell 4-0 on Tuesday evening.

WINTERSVILLE -- The Brooke girls soccer team earned a 3-0 victory over Indian Creek on Tuesday evening.

SECTIONAL TOURNAMENT
EDISON ADVANCES
CARROLLTON -- The Edison girls golf team qualified for the East District Tournament for the second year in a row, advancing from the sectional tournament with a 393 team score at Carroll Meadows Golf Course Tuesday.
Kallie McKeegan led the team with a 77, which was also the low round for the entire tournament. Teagan Reynolds shot a 103, Mady Cornell a 106 and Bella Evans a 107.

PANTHERS SWEEP QUAD
EAST LIVERPOOL - Spencer Grew earned medalist honors with a 39 as the Panthers fired a 174 at Historic Highlands Golf Course to top Wellsville (200), Southern Local (216) and Lisbon David Anderson (231).
Buckeye Local's Dugan Dobrovich was medalist runnerup with a 42, which was one shot better than teammate Jacob Porter.
RED RIDERS TOP TRI
NEW CUMBERLAND - The Red Riders' Aiden Ferguson's 37 led all players as they defeated Hancock County rivals Madonna and Oak Glen at Woodview Golf Course.
Weir (20-6) finished at 154, with the Blue Dons shooting 169 and the Golden Bears 173.
Aiden Ferguson shot a 37 to be match medalist. Madonna got a 41 from each Evan Kaczmarek and Thomas Welch and Oak Glen was led by a 39 from Gannon Cline.

CREEK OUTLASTS EDISON
WINTERSVILLE -- The Indian Creek volleyball team earned a hard-fought five set win over rival Edison Tuesday, 25-22, 25-18, 14-25, 23-25, 15-12.
Meghan Paoloemilio tallied nine kills, 15 assists and six digs, Maddie Moran had 16 digs, 11 assists, six kills and an ace, Pheonyx Vines had 21 digs and two aces, Kylie Dray tallied seven kills, four aces, three digs and two blocks and Kendall Canestraro recorded five kills, two blocks and a dig.
GOLDEN BEARS TOP BEAVER LOCAL
NEW MANCHESTER -- The Oak Glen volleyball team earned a four set win over Beaver Local on Tuesday, 23-25, 25-22, 25-21, 25-20.
Zoey Caughey had 14 kills, Naomi Ayers had 11 kills, Mikalyn Balch had nine kills, 19 digs and 26 assists, Caetlyn Six seven kills, Mattie Carney had five kills and Laikynn Eckleberry had four kills. Bryson Adams had 17 assists and one ace. Keira Vick had 18 digs and one ace. Kendall Six had 15 kills and five aces. Layla Skavenski had seven digs and Ellie Smith had three digs and two aces.
