EDISON BOYS TOP BIG RED
BERGHOLZ -- The Edison boys golf team got a big win over Steubenville Big Red on Wednesday in a nine-hole duel at Spring Hills, 174-180.
While the Wildcats topped the team scores, Big Red had the match medalist as Jaggar Rawson fired a low score of 39.
Edison was led by Xander Haught with a 42, Jordan Everhart and Beckett Dopp each with a 43, Dylan Long and Liam Bissett each with a 46 and Ayden Stacey with a 48.
Also for Big Red, Patrick Jenkins fired a 40, Noah Kokiko a 47, Max Henderson and Brody Becker each a 54 and Lucas Sutton a 63.
Big Red (17-9) competes for a third time in as many days today battling Toronto and Madonna at Dyer Country Club.
EDISON FALL TO BEAVER LOCAL
CALCUTTA -- The Edison girls golf team lost to Beaver 172-184 on Wednesday.
Edison was led by Kallie McKeegan with a 35, Bella Evans with a 48, Mady Cornell with a 50 and Teagan Reynolds a 51.
RED RIDERS TOP HUSKIES
CADIZ -- The Weir High golf team earned its second victory in as many days Wednesday topping Harrison Central 159-179 at Cadiz Country Club.
Guy Meneely fired an even par 36 to earn match medalist, while Evan Baker followed close behind with a 37. Aiden Ferguson and Jonny Horstman each carded scores of 43.
For the Huskies, Cash Meadows shot a 42, Logan Johnson and Jax Triplett each fired 43s and Andy Hendershot carded a 51.
The Red Riders, now 15-4, are back in action today taking on Beaver Local on the road.

INDIAN CREEK BLANKS EDISON
RICHMOND -- The Indian Creek girls soccer team made it back-to-back shutout wins with a 6-0 win over Edison on the road on Tuesday night.
Creek is now 3-5, while Edison falls to 2-4. The Redskins are slated to take on Brooke today, while Edison visits Magnolia on Saturday.

GLEN DALE -- The Harrison Central girls soccer team dropped a 6-1 decision on the road at John Marshall Tuesday.
Abigail Patterson had the Huskies lone goal and Lilli Smith made 13 saves in the second half.
The Huskies host Magnolia today.

OAK GLEN SPIKES LINSLY
NEW MANCHESTER -- The Oak Glen volleyball team reached double digits in the win column, topping Linsly in four sets on Tuesday to improve to 10-2.
Mikalyn Balch tallied 12 kills, 12 assists, 13 digs and six aces, Mattie Carney and Caetlyn Six each had seven kills, Bryson Adams had 20 assists and 13 digs, Keira Vick recorded 24 digs and four aces and Kendall Six had nine digs and three aces.
The Golden Bears host James Monroe, Hampshire and Herbert Hoover on Saturday in a quad.

WEIR EDGES BIG RED
STEUBENVILLE -- The Weir High golf team edged out a close victory over Big Red at Steubenville Country Club on Tuesday, 171-177.
Four golfers, a trio from Weir and one from Big Red, tied for match medalist with scores of 42. The Red Riders’ Guy Meneely, Evan Baker and Aiden Ferguson and Steubenville’s Jaggar Rawson each matched for the low score.
Also for Weir High, Jonathan Horstman carded a 45, Jacob Sharrow a 46 and Landon Donaldson a 50.
For Big Red, Noah Kokiko and Gino Scaffidi followed close behind the lead with a 43 each, while Patrick Jenkins and Max Henderson each carded a 49.
