BIG RED BACK IN THE WIN COLUMN
EAST LIVERPOOL -- The Big Red golf team got back in the win column on Tuesday.
After ending last week with a couple of tough losses, Steubenville bounced back in style on the road at Historic Highlands Golf Coursr, topping host Wellsville for a victory in a nine-hole match.
Big Red carded a team score of 166, led by match medalist Noah Kokiko’s score of 40.
Big Red’s score was 74 better than the Tigers.
Also for coach Joe Garay’s Steubenville squad, Andrew Matzorkis, Jaggar Rawson and Gino Scaffidi each carded scores of 42, while Joel Elliott turned in a 48 and Pat Jenkins fired a 53.
The win improves Big Red’s duel record to 5-2 and their overall record to 12-4.
Steubenville is back in action on Monday for a home tri against Indian Creek and Wellsville at Steubenville Country Club.
